Not only are they ridiculous monotremes(the only family of egg laying mammals), but in addition they have electroreceptors on their snout and Long-beaked echidnas have tiny spikes on their tongues. They’re so badass that they were named after Echidna the “Mother of All Monsters.” in Greek mythology. Are you so cool that you were you named after the mother of all monsters? Yeah, I didn’t think so. They’re also adorable. They’re even cute when they mate. Also, fun fact: Male echidnas have a four-headed penis and female echidnas have a two branched reproductive tract.
